SHE SAID YES!!

So it is official. The big news is no longer secret - Andrea and I are getting married summer 07! Last night our friend Paul Kennett cooked a delicious dinner for us and at the end of the dinner I proposed and Andrea accepted. Paul made us an appetizer of cucumber slices with hummus and plain yogurt and sesame seeds. We ate them when Andrea got home from work and sipped on Kir Royales. We then had beef tenderloin slow roasted with tyme, baby yukon potatoes, and beans with onion and red and yellow peppers. During dinner we drank a bottle of Chateauneuf-du-pape, M. Chapoutier, called La Bernardine. It was delicious. For desert I had a cheese plate and Andrea had some chocolate. Paul and Jill joined us in toasting our engagement with some Pol Roger Champagne! Needless to say, we are a little hurting this morning. She said yes. And it is snowing today. Somehow that seems magical and apropriate.
